Bama

Bama is a gorgeous 3 year old black and white Border Collie. She was originally rescued in Alabama, which is how she got the name "Bama."

She gets along great with other dogs. She is very smart and sensitive. She would do better with older children.

Unfortunately, she needs to find a new home since her current family is not able to keep her. Bama is currently living with them until they are able to find her a new loving, permanent home.

For more information about Bama, you can contact Tressa @ 310-951-3006

Daisy

Marine stationed in Afghanistan needs a home for his lovable pup!

My son-in–law is stationed abroad and I have been fostering this 2 year old female mixed breed dog Daisy. Daisy is playful, cute, snuggly and loyal. She follows commands like sit, stay, come, drop it, etc… She loves to run and play. She needs a forever home with a reasonable size yard and an owner who has time to walk her and toss her a toy. I am unable to give her the space she needs to run and play or the time she needs for walks and attention. She is housebroken and knows when to use a doggy door. She would arrive at her new home with everything she needs: a portable kennel she uses indoors and a crate she uses outdoors, collar, leash, favorite food bowl and her favorite worn out toy ;-) She is up to date on all of her shots and is treated with Advantage on regular bases. It breaks our hearts to let her go while her owner is serving our Country and we want to be sure only serious dog lovers respond. Daisy is currently living with another dog, a kitten and a hamster so I know she can coexist with other animals, it might take supervision w/other animals until they become familiar to each other. 805-861-0370.

Bella and Cinderella

Bella and Cindy are two AMAZINGLY sweet, friendly dogs that were abandoned in a backyard dog run when their home was foreclosed. While they are clearly well socialized with people, they weren't ever given shots, weren't spayed and were full of fleas, poor things. Will you be their new forever home that gives them the love and care they need and deserve? Read on...

My company bought a foreclosed home and there were two dogs, a Chihuahua and a Cocker Spaniel, that were abandoned at the house by the previous owners. Before finding them a foster home, I was able to go to the house to feed them, give them water, take pictures and interact with the dogs to get a better idea of their personalities. While I was there, the former owners came to get some of their belongings, so I was able to get the information I have about Bella and Cindy. People have been very kind and generous as we try to find them new homes, and both dogs have now received their rabies and 6-in-1 vaccinations, been relieved of their itchy fleas and received flea treatments. Right now they are being fostered at a fellow dog-lover's home, and their foster mom Kay has been taking them on walks, playing with them at the dog park and having them interact with other dogs. They both have very good appetites, ride well in the car and bond well with people and other animals. They will make fabulous companions to their lucky new families, they just need a loving home that won't ever abandon them. **Sheila Murray, a WONDERFUL dog trainer, has also offered HALF PRICE training sessions to the family(s) that adopt them. She helped me personally train my dogs (and train me) and I can't say enough good things about her training methods. Click here for her website.

Bella is a female Cocker Spaniel mix that is approximately 1 to 1 1/2 years old. She is full of youthful energy and loves to play and run around. Her expressive eyes will just make you melt, and she is very affectionate and playful. She seems very eager to please even though she hasn't been formally trained and is very receptive to our attempts to train her on the basics. Cindy (short for Cinderella) is a female Chihuahua that is approximately 3 years old. She is Bella's surrogate mom, and is very sweet and calm and absolutely LOVES to be held. She is a true lap dog, and loves to be loved. She is wonderful on the leash too. She is a great dog for someone that wants a small dog that doesn't demonstrate the typical hyper small dog behaviors. I was told that these two dogs are very close, so it would be wonderful if these dogs could go to the same home, if possible. Both dogs will need to be spayed.

For more information, call Tracey at 620-2927. We are asking for a $30 adoption fee to ensure that they go to a home that is sincere about keeping them. If you can't adopt these dogs, but their story touches you, please spread the word so that we can find them a new, loving family to love them.

Nala

Nala is an extremely sweet, 3 year old female Chow mix rescued from a high-kill shelter on her last day. Her family had dumped her there in horrid, neglected condition.

Since her rescue, Nala has blossomed. She was extremely fearful and shut-down at the shelter, but has made an enormous transformation in a few short months. Her sweet, happy personality has emerged and she is ready to begin a great new life as someone's treasured companion!

Nala is an extremely *low maintenance* dog who goes with the flow. She is independent, clean, calm, quiet, watchful, curious, housetrained and non-destructive. Nala enjoys being petted and brushed, and likes to chill out close by. She LOVES her leash walks, knows some basic commands, and is extremely well-behaved in the car. Nala is low-key and even aloof around strangers, but warms up quickly. She is very appreciative of any attention or affection and is extremely submissive with people. She takes treats with the gentlest of mouths, and has no issues around food or possessions.

Nala will thrive being the only pet in the household. She is a loyal dog who just wants to spend time with people - not other animals. She pretty much goes out of her way to ignore other dogs she sees on leash walks. She doesn't bark, lunge or growl. Yet, she does not appreciate them coming too close. If your idea of a good time revolves around dog parks, Nala is not your girl. I was told she came from a home with kids, but I have never seen her around young children, so would feel more comfortable placing her in an adult home or one with older kids/teens.

Here's a video I made of her about a month ago...

This is Nala playing with her first toy:

Nala is about 60 lbs., spayed, vaccinated, de-wormed and microchipped. She is a wonderful, gentle and loyal dog who has been waiting patiently for that special someone.

Adoption process includes meeting all family members, a home visit, and donation to a local animal welfare organization. If you are interested in meeting Nala, please email me telling me about yourself and your household. Thanks!

Meet Skippy a.k.a. Scrappy. He is an absolutely beautiful chocolately taupe colored pit bull terrier. He is very sweet with people but needs work on his basic manners. This boy has started his young life hard and as a stray in the streets. He is only about a year old and is at heart a really sweet boy. Skippy really needs the right environment to thrive. He needs an owner that can take the time and make sure he is properly socialized and someone that can be around Skippy a lot. He was pulled from the Camarillo Animal Shelter where he would have met with certain death if I hadn’t fallen in love with him. He has the most gorgeous gold eyes and I just knew he was special. If you or anyone you know can take Skippy in as his forever home or as a foster, please email as soon as possible.
